DESCRIPTION:Tree Planting at the Horticulture Center!\nTree Campus Higher Education\nJoin us on October 21st for an annual tree planting in observation Tree Campus Higher Education (formerly Tree Campus USA). Tree Campus Higher Education is a program founded in 2008 by the Arbor Day Foundation. WSU earned designation in 2014 and has maintained status annually since then. \nWe will be planting poplars\, pines\, and Douglas-fir trees in the windbreaks located outside of the fence at the Horticulture Center. \nAs this is a volunteer program\, we welcome all people who are willing to help. \nPlease contact the organizers (see below) with any questions or to RSVP.

Despite the extreme cold temperatures this winter causing our cherry trees in Pullman not to bloom\, we are thrilled to offer two delectable varieties of dark cherries from our colleagues at the WSU Roza Orchard in Prosser: Selah and Skeena. These cherries are exceptionally large and sweet\, perfect for a summer treat! \n⏳ Ongoing Sales! We will start our sales on July 12 & 13 and continue every Friday and Saturday as long as we have cherries available. Don’t miss out on these limited-time offerings. \nSale Dates and Hours: \n\nFridays: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM\nSaturdays: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM\n\nPrices: \n\n$2.75 per pound for purchases less than 5 pounds\n$2.00 per pound for purchases of 5 pounds or more\n\n📍 Find Us Easily! Our location is 1452 Johnson Rd. Inside Spillman Farm\, take the 1st right to go up the hill to the red 400A building on top of the hill. \nAdditional Information: \n\nPlease yield to farm equipment and tractors and be mindful of other vehicles on our farm roads. Farm roads are narrow and sometimes one vehicle needs to pull over to let another pass. This is a fundraiser for the Horticulture Alliance (HORTA) RSO\, and all funds will go into their club account. \n\nChoose your own Granny Smith apple\n• Dip it yourself in warm caramel\n• Pack it in provided clamshells or paper bags\n\n🍎 Crimson & Gray Candied Apples (Limited) \nIf everything goes as planned\, we will also have a small number of pre-packaged candied apples made by students in the WSU Dining Hall Kitchen.
