Internship – Monrovia

Oregon, California, and Georgia

Self-motivated individuals majoring in Ornamental Horticulture or related fields are invited to come learn from our experienced Craftsmen in this hands-on program. The work will include all aspects of production such as propagation, shipping, research, canning, assembling of orders, staking and tying, pruning and spacing. Time is also scheduled for classroom and field trip instruction.

The program runs for 9-weeks beginning in June and ending in August. It will be offered at all four of Monrovia’s nurseries including Visalia, California (~50 miles south of Fresno); Dayton, Oregon (~40 miles southwest of Portland); Cairo, Georgia (~50 miles north of Tallahassee, Florida); and Granby, Connecticut (~20 miles northwest of Hartford).

The number of internships granted for the Summer Internship Program is limited, so apply early. Apply on-line at and be sure to identify which nursery you prefer. Don’t forget to attach a cover letter and resume with your application, indicating any horticultural industry affiliation you may have, e.g., FFA, horticultural clubs, previous work experience.

If you have any specific questions about the program, please contact Claudia Santana at (626) 513-0230.
